I grew up in a small town in Thuringia, Germany and received my veterinary degree from the University of Leipzig in 1996. I have been working in private practice since my move to Portland in 2003. I strongly believe in the integration of a variety of medical frameworks, guided by compassion, open communication, and appropriate diagnostics in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for my patients and their family. I am passionate about co-creating a more equitable future for us all and changing the face of veterinary medicine in this country!

I am an herbal practitioner and a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, and a Certified TCVM Palliative & End-Of-Life Practitioner and Certified Veterinary Food Therapist through Chi University.

I love spending time with family & friends, enjoy traveling, hiking, and playing ping pong. Gardening is a passion of mine and a way for me to connect with all living things and also with my late grandmother, who was an avid gardener and the first person who taught me about plants.

I share a home with my dog Hazel, who enjoys fetching balls and loves to cuddle and do the zoomies!

I am Mexican-American and grew up in NE Portland. My passion for animals began at the age of 3 when first traveling to Mexico to visit family. Every trip was always heartbreaking, I could never fathom or understand why there were so many strays and very few animals that had homes. Seeing the reality for these animals drove me to pursue a career in the veterinary field. In 2017 I graduated from Carrington College with a Veterinary Assistant Certificate. I started my journey at Hawthorn(e) Vet in 2018. It's been an honor to be a part of a great team/community which has helped me grow in many ways. Meeting all our clients/patients throughout the years has been one of my favorite experiences. I'm excited to continue this new adventure as a mobile clinic.

At a very young age, I discovered my love for animals. I volunteered at the Oregon Humane Society when I was a teenager and realized I wanted to be in the veterinary field. I like having the opportunity to be passionate about animals and be a part of a wonderful team that cares for animals' well-being.

I have three very spoiled chihuahuas named Sweetie, Cocoa, and Sofie. In my spare time, I love making earrings, cooking, spending time with family, and swimming.

I am looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies.

I’m a bilingual first generation Mexican-American and was raised in Los Angeles. I relocated to Portland in the Fall of 2017 to continue my undergraduate education. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology at PSU in 2022. It has been my dream to be a Veterinarian and I have been working hard towards my goal of one day attending Veterinary school.

My passion for veterinary medicine stems from a deep belief in the transformative power of protecting animal health and well-being. I'm driven by the desire to provide compassionate care, improve the human-animal bond, and bridging language barriers in veterinary medicine.

Volunteering is integral to my identity and I am dedicated to being active in my community. I love every aspect of my job, from client communication, caring for beloved companions and collaborating with my team. On my days off you can find me volunteering or outdoors with my partner and senior pup Muffin.
